SOCIAL MEDIA

Good morning, first of all, let us say thanks to Allah SWT, thanks to giving me opportunity to deliver my speech about Social Media, in here Im a representative of my chemistry program study 2016 class. Also thank you to audience and my friends who are present in this digital life work shop supported by American Corner UNTAN.
Ladies and Gentlemen, do you know what is social media? Of course you know. In this modern era, social media is very popular used by a lot of people. Social media can also be accessed easily because of the technology development thats happen very quickly for a nowadays generation, for example I believe all of you must at least routinely use one social media, like facebook, bbm, whatsaap, line, twitter, instagram etc, either for communication purpose sharing content or for business purpose. Social media has important role in daily activity.
Ladies and Gentlemen speaking about social media, this one have postive impact and negative impact in usage, there are many positive impact that we can feel when we use social media, for instance first we can communicate with old friends who we haven't met in a long time either because of the distance, time, or personal activities, in this social media usage we can emerge this limitation, second we also can add new friends, with the ease of social media only by clicking or following a new social media account we are able to know profile of that person and the next process we can connect to that person via chat etc. Thrid, social media also can be business medium for the entrepreneur, with social media we also can market the product we want to sell. Latter we can also communicate with consumer or our business target we can expand network, so our business can develop further only via online.
But behind every benefit and advantages that can we get from social media, apparently social media also have negative impact and it can cause loss if not used carefully.
First, there are many issues. Circulated in social media esspecially irresponsibly issues which we don't know whether is true or not, it can inflict someone's loss. Why can it happen? Social media can enable people to issue hoax news by sharing fiture that can be accessed by everyone for everyone. Second, social media is used a lot deceive and lie. The society, for example in business people open fake onlineshop or event conducting ilegal transaction like selling drugs and narcotics, fake product, and human trafficking. Third, over use usage of social media usually cause people to forget themselves and often cause discomforts, like doing unusual thing that can endanger their life, just to be trending topic and to be popular, for example making crazy challeges or take selfies in dangerous places only for likes.......
